Your evil in rushing through legislation that shreds our healthcare system, especially for the poor and middle-class and seniors in order to give obscene tax advantages to the wealthy is an insanity for which you will one stand before God and Christ who will call you to accountability. You have done what you always do, GOP Senators and Representatives, you take care of the rich as the expense of the poor. You live by a fatal cognitive distortion that if people just take care of the rich, the rich will take care of them -- never has happened and never will.

When confronted with the poorest of the poor, the sickest of the sick, and the demon-possessed, Jesus -- unlike you and your disgusting healthcare bills -- did not send anyone away from the source of healing ministries resident within him. He didn’t say, “Oh, you’re age 27 and you don’t have insurance? Sorry, I can’t heal you.” Instead, without asking for anything, he generously and compassionately healed anyone who came to him.

As a person of faith, I find nothing but the brutality of a Herod or Pontius Pilate in behavior from elected persons in the high offices of Senator or Representative who fail to have vision for the future of installing a system of universal healthcare for each and every one of our sisters and brothers and our children and elderly in this country. I find a deadly ignorance in Senators and Representatives who cannot see their way clear to one-payor universal healthcare that could cut healthcare costs in half by taking the profit motive out of our healthcare system. What will it take Senators and Representatives for you to see that one payor universal healthcare system is utterly and entirely consistent with the preamble to the Constitution of the United States which calls for our continuing efforts to promote the general welfare and insure domestic tranquility – read it again if you need reminding, it states: "We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."
